Common or Highly Searched Questions about Cars
There are many questions about buying a used car. And they all seem life or death sometimes, don’t they? You’re not alone! That’s exactly why, here at Public Auto Auctions, we are here to make things as clear as day for you.
Have you ever thought what questions your fellow Texans are typing into Google about cars? Well here they are and our answers… to some of them. π
1. “Used Cars Near Me”
One of the most searched questions when it comes to cars, this one is easy for us to answer. Public Auto Auction is located at 12253 Camino Real, Kyle, TX 78640.
Yeah, self-promotion, but our auction lot is committed to helping small charities benefit from the sale of cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, and RVs. Since 2001, our partnership with CARS has raised over $20 million for great charities in Austin, Texas and beyond!
2. “How Much is My Car Worth?”
Yeah, we get this. Maybe we’re looking to sell, or repair, or buy.
While there are tools out there such as Kelley Blue Book’s resource, or Car and Driver’s calculator, one way to find out not just how much it’s worth but what it will sell for is selling at auction.

3. “When Were Cars Invented?”
Lots of history buffs out there! Let’s face it, cars are everywhere, and we can’t imagine life without them. Eventually curiosity wins out, am I right?
To answer that question, we have to go back to Germany and France at the turn of the 19th century. Carl Benz, Emile Lavassor, Gottlieb Daimler, and some other giants of innovation are responsible for the execution of the automobile idea before America took the car mainstream.
The U.S. dominated the industry for decades, but now it’s Japan that makes many of the most popular makes and models.
Here’s a great article on the history of the car.
4. “How to Jump a Car?”
Another very practical search. There are tons of websites and videos that outline this.
You’ll need jumper cables!
- Clamp the positive cable to the positive terminal of the failing battery. Clamp the other end to the strong battery.
- Clamp the negative cable to the negative terminal of the good battery and the other end to a clean metallic part of the engine.
- Start the car with the good battery and let the weak battery charge for a bit.
- Start the car with the bad battery.
5. “What is the Fastest Car in the World?”
[SPOILERS] This is a controversial one among car enthusiasts. Lots of claims to the throne being thrown around, or driven around. Anyway, the top contenders are usually Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and Hennessey, along with some newcomers.
Now, technically the fastest car in the world is not street-legal. It’s the Thrust SSC and goes a ridiculous 763 mph. It’s basically a rocket with a seat strapped to it. I mean, it broke the sound barrier. Not necessary on your way to work (actually…) π€
As for street-legal, multiple cars have broken the 300 mile-per-hour barrier! The title of fastest belongs to the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ which hit 304 mph.
Other models have logged faster speeds on the racing track, but they are limited to the track.
6. “What is the Most Expensive Car in the World?”
Like the previous search, this is such a fun search for the curious. But is the most expensive car a supercar or hypercar? Is the most expensive also the fastest from the likes of Bugatti, Lamborghini, Pagani, Ferrari, Koenigsegg, or Mercedes?
No, it’s actually another classic luxury brand: Rolls-Royce.
The handcrafted “Boat Tail”, rumored to have sold for $28 million to an undisclosed buyer. π€― (hint: it’s not me)
BTW, Rolls-Royce held the throne of most expensive car previously in 2017 when its “Sweptail” debuted.
7. “How to Draw a Car?”
You did not read that wrong. Thousands of people search this every month.
As for us at Public Auto Auctions, we’ll stick to auctions and leave the drawing to you.
8. “How to Buy a Car?”
Now, we’re talking! In Kyle, Texas, we may not have the most luxurious or fastest cars on the lot, but our used cars will get the job done whether you’re heading to the desert, the city, or out of state.
